Inclusive Diving at Bingham Sub Aqua Club

Adaptability

At Bingham Sub Aqua Club, we believe that scuba diving should be accessible to everyone. Whether you're completely new to diving, returning after a break, or living with a disability, we're committed to helping you experience the freedom and adventure that diving can offer.

Diving is one of the few sports where many physical limitations disappear underwater. With the right training, equipment and support, people with a wide range of disabilities can safely enjoy recreational scuba diving, develop new skills and become part of a welcoming diving community.

Diving for All

As a BSAC club, we support the BSAC Diving for All programme, which promotes inclusive diving and provides specialist training for instructors to adapt their teaching to meet individual needs.

Our instructors understand that no two divers are the same. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, we work with each diver to understand their abilities, goals and any additional support they may require. Training is adapted to suit the individual, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Ready to take the plunge?

If you've ever thought scuba diving wasn't for you, we'd encourage you to get in touch.

We'll answer your questions, discuss your individual requirements and show you how diving can be adapted to help you safely enjoy the underwater world.

Because everyone deserves the opportunity to discover the freedom of diving

Experienced, adaptable, understanding Instructor’s

Making things happen

We are proud that our instructor team includes members who have completed BSAC's Diving for All training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make diving more accessible.

Our club is also fortunate to have a truly inspiring Dan our Training Officer. As a paralysed wheelchair user, they have progressed through the BSAC training system to become a qualified BSAC Open Water Instructor. Their personal experience provides invaluable insight into adaptive diving and demonstrates that disability does not have to be a barrier to achieving your diving ambitions.

Their journey is a powerful reminder that, with the right support, determination and inclusive training, incredible things are possible.
